Leaving on a Jet Plane……or Sleepless in Seattle

My best friend’s husband is sleepless in Seattle…..

You see, his wife has been in the hospital for a few weeks and he’s been working full time and parenting their 2 month old son.  

I haven’t seen Christina and George in 4 years, and she’s one of my dearest friends…I’ve been praying for the past 9 months that God would provide a way for me to go and meet their new baby…trusting in His timing and plan for all the details.  

Just yesterday, I read a verse in 2 Thessalonians, “God honors those who honor him…”  I don’t know how honorable I’ve been lately–for I fail so often–but it seems like God is blessing us all right now, because I just booked a flight to Seattle, WA for Sunday.

Through George’s frequent flyer miles I am travelling virtually free…..they will be getting some extra help with house, mama, baby…….. and I will have 2 weeks away from work and Costa Rica (I haven’t left in 1.5 years).  

Thank you God, for this special gift!
